Tony Cope
Managing Director
Tony is the Managing Director of Risk Advisory Services (RAS) and has over 20 years of risk consulting and insurance experience. Prior to joining RAS Tony led and managed the largest group of insurance brokers in Australia in his role as Corporate State Manager of Aon. Tony spent 9 years working for IRMG providing advice on risk retention, risk transfer and outsourcing to some of the largest organisations in Europe, the USA and Australasia and has also worked for Ernst & Young where he conducted audits of insurance companies, banks and building societies.
Gordon Young
Director – Risk Management
Gordon is a Director of Risk Advisory Services (RAS) and is responsible for Risk Management Consulting. He has over 20 years risk management experience and currently acts as the Risk Manager for Sonic Healthcare. Prior to joining RAS Gordon was the head of the University of Sydney’s risk management office. During the 1990’s he developed and managed the risk management programs for two Olympic Games, Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000. Gordon began his career providing risk management consultancy services in London and Atlanta with Tillinghast/Towers Perrin.
Paul Evans
Insurance Manager
Paul joined Risk Advisory Services (RAS) in February of 2008 as an Insurance Manager. He has extensive experience in the Australian insurance industry and currently acts as the Insurance Manager for Sonic Healthcare. Prior to joining RAS, Paul was an Account Manager at AustralAsia Insurance Brokers where he worked on a large number of corporate and specialist accounts working with Directors and management on mergers and acquisitions. Paul has also worked at Austbrokers as an Account Manager and at Allianz as a Business Development Manager, where he was responsible for the relationship management of 16 insurance brokers and numerous corporate insurance programs. Paul has also provided underwriting services to the leisure and entertainment industry.
Jerome Steyn
Senior Consultant
Jerome joined Risk Advisory Services (RAS) in April 2009 as a Senior Consultant and has over 7 years of banking and insurance experience. Prior to joining RAS Jerome was a Senior Account Manager for Aon Insurance Managers in the Cayman Islands where he was responsible for establishing, managing and developing a portfolio of clients, which included managing their underlying insurance, financial and investment operations. Jerome started his career at one of the big four banks in South Africa, where he worked in Corporate Finance and Internal Audit.
