Tony Cope
Managing Director
Tony is the Managing Director of Risk Advisory Services (RAS) and has over 20 years of risk consulting and insurance experience. Prior to joining RAS Tony led and managed the largest group of insurance brokers in Australia in his role as Corporate State Manager of Aon. Tony spent 9 years working for IRMG providing advice on risk retention, risk transfer and outsourcing to some of the largest organisations in Europe, the USA and Australasia and has also worked for Ernst & Young where he conducted audits of insurance companies, banks and building societies.
Gordon Young
Director – Risk Management
Gordon is a Director of Risk Advisory Services (RAS) and is responsible for Risk Management Consulting. He has over 20 years risk management experience and currently acts as the Risk Manager for Sonic Healthcare. Prior to joining RAS Gordon was the head of the University of Sydney’s risk management office. During the 1990’s he developed and managed the risk management programs for two Olympic Games, Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000. Gordon began his career providing risk management consultancy services in London and Atlanta with Tillinghast/Towers Perrin.
Kirsty Roser
Director – Workers Compensation
Kirsty is a Director of Risk Advisory Services (RAS) and is responsible for Workers Compensation Consulting. She has over 14 years workers compensation experience and over 9 years specific consulting experience. Prior to joining RAS Kirsty was the leader of the Workers Compensation consulting practice at Marsh, in this role she managed a team of 19 workers’ compensation professionals. During her time at Marsh Kirsty worked actively with corporate clients to manage and improve their OH&S and Workers Compensation performance, Kirsty was also responsible for the placement and management of these clients’ workers compensation insurance programs.
Prior to Marsh Kirsty held various positions with Allianz Australia. These included NSW Training Coordinator, where she developed and delivered training programs to Allianz’s NSW workers compensation staff and Claim Case Manager where Kirsty was responsible for the management of insurance claims for large corporate clients.
Mike Parrish
Director – Western Australia
Mike joined Risk Advisory Services (RAS) in November 2010 and leads the Western Australian operations. Mike has over 28 years risk management and insurance experience. Prior to joining RAS Mike was Manager Risk and Insurance of CITIC Pacific Mining Management where he was responsible for the implementation and management of the enterprise wide risk management and insurance programmes. Mike’s previous roles include Director, Financial Solutions & Risk Consulting at Jardine Lloyd Thompson where he managed the delivery of risk consulting services to clients throughout the Asia Pacific Region. Various positions at Aon in London Singapore and Melbourne, where he provided advice to clients in relation to risk retention and risk transfer strategies and Marsh in Bermuda, where he was responsible for all alternative risk consulting activities in the Latin American region. Mike started his career in 1982 as an Account Executive at HSBC Insurance Group.
